September 23, 2019 - Director of Academy of Brunei Studies at UBD, Dr Haji Tassim bin Haji Abu Bakar was the guest of honour for the Inter-Faculty Staff Futsal Championship in conjunction with the 2019 Convocation Festival at the UBD Sports Complex Hall recently. The tournament was contested in a round robin system with the duration of the match lasting 14 minutes continuously.

Estate Team emerged winners of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Inter-Faculty Staff Futsal Championship. The combined team of Students Affairs Section and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education finished as runners-up while Admin/ Bursar snatched third place.

The combined team of Academy of Brunei Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Business and Economics and Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies ended fourth place while the combined team of Faculty of Science, Faculty of Integrated Technologies, Institute of Health Sciences and Centre for Advanced Material and Energy Sciences came in fifth place.
