November 4-8, 2019 | The 7th ASEAN Traditional Textile Symposium (ATTS) held in Yogyakarta from 4-8 November 2019. Dk Nurul Faten (Academy of Brunei Studies Postgraduate Student) presented her paper 'Preserving Woven Textile Through Innovation' and Noramalina (Academy of Brunei Studies Alumni) participated in the textile exhibition.
Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dr Siti Norkhalbi Haji Wahsalefelah was also present during the symposium. Brunei delegates had the opportunity to take part in the study tour: 1. Makam raja-raja Jawa 2. Batik Workshop in Imogiri 3. Batik Apipas Gallery 4. Candi Borobudur 5. Museum Ullen 6. Batik Jawa Gallery 7. Studio DOWA.
