THE 10th Seminar and Exhibition on Brunei Traditional Industry under the Academy of Brunei Studies (APB) of Universiti Brunei Darussalam, with the support from the Abdul Razak Holdings, was launched yesterday at The Mall, Gadong.
Acting Director of the APB Dr Haji Tassim bin Haji Abdul Bakar, who officiated the event, highlighted the importance of preserving tradition and developing the industry in Brunei.
“At this time, we are facing the challenge of finding a job. With this programme that provide skills, experience and creative thinking, the industry can help provide opportunities to explore areas that can be commercialised, as well as have the potential to be developed,” he said.
Themed ‘Traditional Industry in the Contemporary Era’, the exhibition served as a platform for the undergraduates to showcase their research on the Brunei traditional industry and gain experience in marketing their research.
